Guided Bush Walks
Slow down and experience the bush on foot with a guided walk on the Makuwa property. Accompanied by an experienced local guide, you can discover the smaller details of the bushveld, from tracks and plants to insects, birds and wildlife.

Birdwatching
The bushveld around Makuwa provides excellent opportunities for birdwatching, with a variety of woodland and open bush species found around the lodge and surrounding reserves. Bring your binoculars and enjoy birding from the gardens, patios or while exploring the bush.
Kruger National Park Safaris

Guided Bush Walks on a Big Five Reserve
For a more immersive walking experience, guided bush walks can be arranged on a neighbouring Big Five reserve. Accompanied by a qualified field guide, guests can experience the bush from ground level and learn about tracks, plants, wildlife and the ecology of the Lowveld.
